Value delivered
We partnered with Cleantron on their journey into the e-bike market — bringing strategy, design, and development expertise to a company making a bold leap: from conventional battery supplier into a new market, a new safety standard, and a new philosophy of ownership. Each milestone compounds the value of the last.

A future for today
A future concept bike developed to define the long-term roadmap of the swapfiets. The project explores how a fully circular and widely accessible bicycle can shape the next generation of urban mobility.
Sustainabiliy

Technology as a service
the fast-moving parts (battery, motors, display, electronics) live in open space within the frame, not bonded to it. When tech improves, you swap the module — not the whole bike. The frame becomes the long-lived object; the tech is a service layer on top.
Repairability by design
The frame is deliberately kept simple: no cables routed through it, no components embedded in it. Plastic body panels can be popped off by anyone.
Minimal cable architecture
the ECU and hub motors replace a tangle of brake and gear cables. Fewer cables means fewer parts to fray, corrode, or snap. Simpler to diagnose, simpler to fix.
Safety
Keeping you safe from every angle. Built-in sensors communicate in real time with you and with Swapfiets riders so any issue is caught early. Blind spot detection alerts you through subtle haptic feedback, while the rear light automatically intensifies when traffic approaches from behind. Integrated lighting illuminates the lower part of your body and projects your bike's outline onto the road surface, making you unmistakable to everyone around you.

Design
The design is clean and unisex, with a recognizable bike look. It features a blue halo battery and range indicator, along with click-on accessories that are easy to attach and lock. A compact, lockable compartment provides convenient storage for essentials like your phone, keys, and wallet.
A bike that adapts to you, and to where you are.
This vision bike doesn't ask how hard you want to pedal — it learns how you want to feel. Pick a state of mind: Calm for an effortless glide, Hyped to chase speed, or Idyllic for a relaxed, scenic rhythm. The bike continuously tunes its assistance to match.
Underneath, a fully drive-by-wire system with two hub motors replaces the mechanical drivetrain with direct electronic control. Together they deliver 25 to 60 km/h, with environmental speed adaptation that reads its surroundings — easing back in shared zones, opening up where the road allows.
