Value delivered

We designed and engineered both the V1 and V2 for Veloretti, taking them from a traditional bike producer into the e-bike market. By owning the engineering end to end and doing everything in-house, we gave Veloretti the leap into electric without having to become an engineering company themselves.

From V1 to V2 and beyond

A continuous partnership

A new market

We brought Veloretti into the e-bike market, a step that demands a different level of engineering, integration, and complexity than a traditional bike. With the V1 and V2, they entered it with credible, fully-developed products instead of testing the water.

Creation and guardians of the brand language

Developed a identity for the Electric bicycle range, making sure the technical leap never came at the cost of the aesthetic.

Full development responsibility

We took ownership of the entire process and kept it in-house, from concept to engineering. That gave Veloretti a single, accountable partner.

From V1 to V2

Our long term partnership with Veloretti made it so that we have been involved with the design of their first electric bikes and also the the subsequent ace and ivy V2 which have been sort of a facelift of the v1. something about the value of being involved with multiple generations and the amazin refinement that is possible, made it highly succesfull.

Mobility as a lifestyle product

Unlike most bicycle brands veloretti has positioned itself in the cultural zeitgeist of its users. being something in between a a mobility product and a consumer product it seamlessely merges with users personality…

Development from A to Z

Continuous validation played a central role throughout the development of the architecture, ensuring that each design decision was tested and refined. VROEGH Design developed sample prototypes, enabling in-depth evaluation of both functionality and assembly processes.

Technical solutions

Batteries currently on the market tend to have locks that are extremely easy to circumvent. Many users now feel like they have to take the battery with them at all times, or resort to DIY solutions like screwing duct clamps around the bike frame & battery.

In response, a range of locking concepts were designed and tested through iterative prototyping. Both the in-tube and on-tube configurations feature solutions aimed at countering common theft tactics.

Ace and Ivy

We partnered with Cleantron to develop a battery system designed to serve the entire ecosystem, from manufacturers to fleet operators and end users. The design prioritizes creating a logical service system that allows for local repairs and reduced recalls for the manufacturer.
